A Sustainable Single-Vineyard Estate in Tasmania's Coal River Valley

Bremley Vineyard is the northernmost vineyard in Tasmania's Coal River Valley, originally planted with Chardonnay in the early 2000s and later expanded to include Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, and Gamay.

Since acquiring the property in 2008, James and Vanessa Bresnehan have grown it to 15 hectares and shifted from primarily selling grapes to producing their own single-vineyard wines in collaboration with winemakers Justin Bubb and Anna Pooley.

The vineyard sits in a protected natural amphitheater beneath Gunnings Sugarloaf, benefiting from warm, long growing days and cool nights, with black cracking clay and dolerite soils. It is managed hands-on with a strong focus on sustainable viticulture.
